Our Story

It all started when…

We met online. He said he’d like to take me to dinner and to pick a place I’d always wanted to go; I started falling for him then. On our first date I said if I could have another career it would be Baker/bakery owner. Two years later, visiting family, he saw the sign: “for sale”. We both loved being near the water, we loved to eat, drink and cook together; completing projects together had really been a great experience so we packed our things and left California to start a new adventure and fulfill my dream of owning a bakery.

I love treating people, making them feel comfortable, spoiled and welcome. This shop has created a space to do this. He loves to be the host and meet new people. The shop is our home away from home and hope others feel that comfortable in it.

I love to decorate, make beautiful things so our everyday cakes have a little extra flair. Royal icing is my medium so the sugar cookies are always a colorful treat. I don’t waste my calories and don’t expect others to so everything tastes delicious. We aren’t trained pastry chefs and everything is made by our teams hands so it may not be perfect but it is always our best.

Being a part of our customers’ special occasions is a gift: birthdays, anniversaries, showers, engagements, weddings are most welcome! Allowing a child to eat what everyone else is eating despite their food allergies is also a gift that we love to give; dietary restrictions can be accommodated and delicious. You won’t miss a thing with our vegan chocolate cake!
